User Guide HandyFind

HandyFind can be downloaded from the most popular stores, such as the App Store or Google Play. The first time you download the app, you need to register by choosing whether you are a service provider or a user. Based on your choice, you will be redirected to the appropriate registration page. Fill in the required fields carefully, paying special attention to those marked with an asterisk, as they are mandatory. Remember to write down your chosen username and password, even though the app will automatically suggest them for future logins.

After logging in, service providers will be directed to the "Job Requests" page, while users will access the "Your Requests" page. The system is easy to use, but for your convenience, we have provided examples of how to use the pages below.

Sign Up as Service Provider

The first thing to do is to register. Fill in the fields you want to store in the system. Not all fields are mandatory, and some need to be selected from a list. For example, the VAT number and company name are optional.

 

Service Category

The category of services and products you offer is selected from a predefined list of trades and categories. If the category you belong to is not on the list, please let us know by sending an email to handyfind24@gmail.com

 

The Home Page for Service Providers

Your home page will display a list of jobs requested by users in your area that require products or services in your category. For example, if you are a plumber based in Miami North, you will see requests coming from the Miami North area that involve plumbing work.

To view the details of a request, click on it and then select "Open Request." If you wish to respond to a request, simply click on the request and then select "Reply in Chat."

 

The Details of a Request

When you "open a request," you will access this page. Here, you will find everything the user who made the request has entered, including photos and details about the work to be done or the product requested. From this screen, you can also respond to the requester by clicking "Reply in Chat."

 

Communicating with the Requester

With HandyFind, you can communicate with the person who posted the request and agree on the details of the job, such as what, how, and when. HandyFind does not provide phone numbers or any other contact information. It is up to the users and service providers to exchange phone numbers or other details in the chat if and when they deem appropriate. The chat allows you to insert or modify photos.

Images and Photos of a Request

Both the service provider and the user can upload and modify photos related to the request for their negotiations, without other users or providers having access to them. This allows a service provider, for example, to show a type of product that will be used exclusively for that particular customer, and the requester can share an image that is only visible to that specific provider.

Sign in as User

The first time you access the app, you will need to sign in. Select the "User" account-type and then proceed to enter your details.

Enter your details

Fill in the fields you want to save in the system. Not all fields are mandatory, and the system will assist you in correctly completing the required ones. Once registered, you can return to this section and modify some of your details if you wish.

The User Home Page

Your home page will display a list of requests you previously sent to suppliers in your area. You can review and modify your submitted requests. Additionally, you will see the number of responses received from suppliers for each request. By selecting one of these, you can view the suppliers' responses and then choose to start a chat with one or more of them.

Submit a New Request to Suppliers

When you have a new need for a repair, a product, or even consultations, go to this page and submit a request. Enter the category and the area where you want to receive the service, and describe your need in detail. Use photos to give suppliers a clearer idea of your request. Then return to the home page and check back later to see if you’ve received any responses.

Check Supplier Responses

When a supplier becomes available to fulfill your request, you will see it on this screen. Often, multiple suppliers will make themselves available. Chat with them in the chat screen and choose the most effective and cost-efficient one that meets your needs.

Communicate in chat

With HandyFind, you can communicate with those who have made themselves available to fulfill your request and agree on how, what, and when to do it. HandyFind does not provide phone numbers or any other contact details. It will be up to the users and suppliers to exchange phone numbers or other details in the chat when and if they deem it appropriate. The chat allows you to upload or modify photos.

Does it cost anything to download the Handyfind app?

The use of this app is completely free. Additionally, service providers will not have to pay any commission for the services they offer you.

What are the response times?

The response times to your requests depend on the type of service you request and the area where you request it. Only suppliers from the area where the service is provided are authorized to respond. For some service categories, we have good coverage, while for others, coverage is slightly less. The app will notify you on your phone when there are suppliers available for your request.

How do I receive quotes for my requests?

Once the request is submitted, a notification will alert you whenever a professional becomes available. You can then communicate via chat with the provider and request quotes, information, and availability.
